I have added the number on top of a cake to ensure that every one has a generous piece and more when they come back for seconds! The numbers were made from vanilla sponge and the cake from carrot cake, so everyone was happy – yum.

What a fun cake! I made these boots and lead for a keen dog walker, modeled on her favourite pair and the lead she takes with her every day. The plaque had a paw print on it as if the dog had just run across it and there were sugar leaves left here and there in his wake.
