A great idea for a smaller party! These individually made cakes were unique to the little person shown, with their hairstyle and looks, down to the colour of their eyes created with love and care. These wonderful cakes delighted all the little guests and most just wanted to keep them to look at and admire.

A grown up and smart cake for a young man. A West Ham fan, football is his world, and this cake reflects his interest in an understated yet fun way.
Each cake a different flavour, both cakes delicious. These cakes would feed around 30-40 people.

An impressive tower of cupcakes, shown on my beautiful Maypole cake stand, decorated with wonderful fresh flowers. Each cake is decorated with a hand piped ’21′ in stunning black and white with golden cupcake cases.
The birthday girl’s cake is decorated with a hand piped, hand painted personal message and embellished with a ribbon and dusting. So pretty and it all matched the party decorations in smart black and white.

Golden explosion Birthday cake with matching cupcakes
The very popular and wonderful golden explosion cake with matching cupcakes. The explosion has blown golden balls onto the cupcakes, making hand painted golden trails. A beautiful sugar keepsake sugar plaque and cake sparkles finishes the impact with a bang!

Squires Kitchen Exhibition
As usual, Squires Kitchen held a great exhibition of sugarcraft and cake-making this year. If you fancy an interesting day out, why not look out for their exhibition around March next year! The great Eddie Spence was there in person, signing books, giving hints, tips and demonstrations. All fascinating stuff for those of us into the subject. 
Bearwood Lakes Wedding Fair
I attended a great Wedding Fair at Bearwood Lakes Golf Course this weekend. Its a fantastic venue near Wokingham, which I can definitely recommend. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable – and I’m sure they would make your day special. Simon Alexander was also at the fair. He is a brilliant magician, and if you fancy adding some special sparkle to your wedding, why not contact him.
Bearwood Lakes Golf Club
